William Hornstein, M.D., FAAN



WILLIAM HORNSTEIN, MD, FAAN

Dr. Hornstein is a board certified neurologist. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Hornstein practices general neurology, which includes specialties such as stroke, headache, Parkinson's disease, neck and back disease, dementias including Alzheimer's disease, and peripheral neuropathy, as well as many other neurological disorders. Much of his practice is devoted to the care of people with Multiple Sclerosis, which is his sub-specialty.

Dr. Hornstein is the founder and director of the Fountain Valley Multiple Sclerosis Center, which includes our Long Beach office. Our MS Center was recently named a Partner in Multiple Sclerosis Care by the National MS Society.

Dr. Hornstein is co-chairman of the Clinical Advisory Committee of the Pacific South Coast MS Chapter. He also sits on the Board of Trustees of the Pacific South Coast Chapter of the National MS Society. He works on many MS issues and in 2013 received the National Multiple Sclerosis Lifetime Commitment Award.

As a practicing neurologist at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Hornstein is listed on the U.S. News & World Report's "Top Doctors List" and was recently named a 2014 "Super Doc" by Los Angeles Magazine for the sixth straight year.

As an assistant clinical professor of neurology at UCLA, Dr. Hornstein has taught for many years at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. He is past Chief of Staff at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach.

Perhaps the greatest attribute of Dr. Hornstein is his doctor-patient relationship. Rare is the patient that does not mention his warm personality and eagerness to help people.
