PANOS MARMARELIS, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr Marmarelis was born in Greece and came to the U.S. on a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue college studies. Initially he studied electrical and biomedical Engineering and eventually Medicine and Neurology. He attended the following schools:

UCLA School of Medicine , Westwood, California
Internship in Internal Medicine.
Residency in Neurology, 1977-1981

M.D. degree, 1977

California Institute of Technology, Pasadena , California
M.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1967
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, 1972

Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
B.S. in Electrical Engineering ( High Honors), 1966

Dr Marmarelis is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr Marmarelis has published a book and numerous articles in scientific Journals primarily in the field of Neurophysiology.
Dr Marmarelis practices general neurology. He is particularly interested in the treatment of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, the performance of electrical studies to determine nerve or brain pathology and the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders.
